6lb 10oz and 19 1/2inches long

I was lucky enough to be there when he came into this world.  What a wonderful experience to see a new life being born.  Even though I have two of my own, being witness to this miracle touches you almost as much.  I'm so happy for Bradd and Xue and wish them all the happiness in the world as they bring up their children with love, faith, and joy.

Back 2 School

Monday starts a new school year for Jordan.  We have been counting down since the first of August.   He's my big first grader and I'm so excited for him to be in a regular first grade class.  I've already spoken to his teacher and she's excited for Jordan to be in her class.  Mrs. Eisner and I are going to get along just fine.

Bright and early Monday I got Jordan up and dressed in his new school clothes.

Jordan and Nathan played with their scooters while we waited for the bus to come.  I was able to get this picture of the two bus mates.

I was even able to get a picture of Megan in her new back to school clothes as well:

The bus got to the house later then we had planned, which made the anticipation for the boys almost unbearable. 

Melody asked almost immediately where Jordan was, and I said he went to school.  She was okay with that until it was time to get him from the bus.  As soon as the bus dropped him off, Melody was ready to get on so that she could go to school too.  Guess I need to look into putting her in preschool.

All in all it's been a good first few days.  I've had to make some adjustments in the time I get up.  6:30 is just way too early for this body of mine.  But I'm doing it.  I look forward to helping Jordan have a great school experience.
