I created this layout using Sunkissed Collaboration kit by Krystal Hartley and Misty Cato. Love the soft orange in this kit. Not so in your face but just bright enough. I can't wait to create more layout using this beautiful kit.

Loney's been busy working on his new movie for the Chiller Channel Dare 2 Direct 2 contest. Looks like he will be able to get it done, though he's far from finished with the whole movie. Basically he came up with a 13 minute movie and had to cut it down to 6 minutes. Luckily there are a couple of film festivals in town around November that he can enter the bigger version. Here's the movie poster for it.
I look forward to seeing the finished product for both versions!!
So I was puttering around the internet looking for digital freebies when I stumbles upon this designer. She is Elise Hansen Designs and she's giving away her huge new kit for free. 5 days of different links for the different colors in her kit. It's called Notes from the Soda Fountain, and it is fabulous. Please check her out, awesome designs.
So I still don't have much air at my place. It's hot, and muggy and I'm not happy. At least there's a little air flow but not much. That's why I haven't been on to blog much in the last few days. Hopefully we'll get the air situation figured out in the next week, or I'm leaving. Well..ok...I'm leaving anyway because I'm going camping, but that's besides the point. Woo Hoo!! Duck Creek here I come!!!
The layout also features a beautiful and sweet photo of my mom kissing a picture of my grandpa. So amazing to be able to capture this moment.

Review the names of each family member. Record the spiritual meaning of each name if you know it. Was anyone named after someone else to honor them? You could even have a family night as you share how you prayed for, and selected, each name.
What is it about your name?
How did you come about the name of your children?
Is there any spiritual meaning to your families names?
Is the name in remembrance of someone else in honor?
Here's what I came up with.

Not much happening on the homefront. Loney is working on his new movie project (I'm helping where I can), the kids are watching movies, and I'm surfing the net. I need to get some laundry folded and put away, but that will have to wait a moment.
I've created a few digital cards that I need to print up. I'm thinking of using them for the card exchange when we start back up.
I have a few others, but need to make them smaller. Well, I'm off to work on some stuff and make some lunch for the kids. Have a nice weekend.
So my next creative team assignment is to use the FS collaboration kits and any new designer kits. I had already gotten the Creative Team Kit May-July 08 when I applied for being on the creative team, but it worked so perfect for this photo. I think it turned out really well.

I saw this template challenge given by Chrissy W on her blog and was super inspired. With all of these awesome old photos to work with I knew I had to scrap them. This is my mom when she was about 1. Melody reminds me of my mom soo much it's crazy. Anyway, enjoy.

I'm not exactly sure what year this is, but I decided to use it anyway for this kit. Eyelet's Scraps "Grunge Delight" found at the Faith Sisters shop. I'm gonna love doing pages using these old pictures.
I created a layout using Krystal Hartley's new kit called My Piano Room found at Faith Sisters. I have had some of these pictures of my Great Grandma Sanders scanned from her 100th birthday, and when I saw this kit...I immediately thought of them to creat a page. I only wish I had a few more pictures so I could make a mini book of her birthday. Truly a great musical legacy she gave to us.

And here are my Layouts I created with the kit.

You can find this new kit at the Faith Sisters and Elemental Scraps shops. And it's even 40% off until the end of July. You can't go wrong with that right?!?
Saturday was spent filming Loney's movie. It's gonna be a good one. Pray he has the time to get it finished on time. Zachary, Miranda, Joshua and Parker did a fabulous job in the film as well.
I've done a few new layouts. I'm also working on some for Gretchen Tripp's new kit. Will probably be released this weekend, so I'll post those when it's released.
The first one is using Michelle Boroni's Botanycal kit at Faith Sisters. The second one is using Drehi's Abide with Me kit at Faith Sisters. Turned out so cute I think.
Just a quick note to wish all of you who read my little blog a great 4th. I'm so blessed to live in this country of freedom to choose my own path towards life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. To be able to worship as I so choose. God truly had a hand in bringing this nation together with our fore fathers. I truly am Proud to be American.
A prayer is in my heart for those serving in Iraq to help preserve our freedoms. Bless their families as they are gone as well.
