Dragonflies, Fireworks and Bling..oh my

Ok, so I couldn't come up with a better title for this post.  Basically it's just a hodge podge of layouts for Faith Sisters and Pineapple Plantation Designs CT.  I'm tired, but at the same time I soo enjoy creating these layouts.  Sleep might win out...but we'll see.  Before I hit the hay, I guess I should put sheets on my bed.....

Fun & Sad Weekend

I guess I'll start with the sadness from the weekend.  Basically this was Amy's last weekend visiting with us before she moves to Kentucky.  I'm really going to miss spending time with her.  It's been great having her around.  The kids will miss her as well.  Gonna try to keep communication going between us as much as possible by email, phone calls, or even cards every so often.  I know this is what she needs to do in her life right now, but I just want to be a little selfish and say that I wish she could have stayed around.

Now on to the fun part.  I had a blast creating pages for the Faith Sisters Birthday Bash Crop.  You earn points for each layout you do and at the end of the weekend you put those points into a drawing for different prizes.  I only wish I could have done more, but woo hoo for me.  Check out my gallery link for Faith Sisters on the left hand side of my blog for all of the credits for each of the layouts.  Hopefully the next crop I can pawn the kids off on someone.  Perhaps a slumber party at Grandma's house????

Digital is Awesome!!

I'm overwhelmed with the amount of layouts I've been doing with all my CT's, but I'm soo enjoying it. Being able to work for these amazing designers is an honor, and really keeps me on my toes. I hope all of them are happy with the work I've put in. Here's a few I've done lately.

Second Star to the Right by Dielle Desings (Faith Sisters)

Autumn Whispers by Pineapple Plantation Designs (Scrap Orchard)

Funky Wedding Kit by Debra Ballance (Faith Sisters), Alphas-Cover Girl & Little Black Alpha by Krystal Hartley (Faith Sisters)

Going digital was one of the best decisions I ever made. I've created more layouts then I ever have in the whole 13 years I've been scrapbooking combined. I've met so many amazing women, and the acceptance of everyone is overwhelming. I still have yet to attain my dream of being published, but I hope to keep at it and that dream will become a reality.

Crazy Few Days

Man but the time goes so slow when you're sick and then your back goes out.  I was feeling really good after my little stomach bug on Wednesday, so Thursday was gonna be a good day...little did I know.  I was standing up about ready to head home with the kids when I felt a twinge in my back.  I was out the whole night and part of the next day.   I took it easy and went to play practice on Friday night...and was a little sore by the end of the night, but felt I was doing really well.  Well, last night while getting Melody ready for bed, I got a pain on my hip.  I'm not sure if it's a pinched nerve or my back went out on the other side, but I just can't win for losing.  I still get some twinges here and there but over all I think I'll survive.

Jordan is also not feeling very well the past couple of days.  He's been really bound up, and I'm just not sure what to do about it.  I know it's because he doesn't eat enough variety of foods to help make him regular, but I can't force the kid to eat what he'll just throw up.  Poor kid....there's gotta be something I can do.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't really done much scrapping since I can't sit, stand, or lay down for too long because of my back.  Hopefully soon, though I've got the stress of the play this week since opening night in Friday.  Man, what have I gotten myself into!?!

Feeling Yucky

Been sick all day today.  Had breakfast with Loney this morning and felt pretty good, but then started feeling sick to my stomach.  Needless to say the breakfast didn't stay to long.  I know...TMI but tonight I'm doing better.  Hoping to get to bed soon and sleep it off.

UGH!!

That's how I'm feeling today.  Actually I'm better then I was last night, but this wind has been killer today, so I'm really tired.  Might actually go to bed early.  Kids are settled down, and I'm just veggin on the computer.  I did create a couple of layouts for my assignment with Faith Sisters so I'm feeling accomplished.

It's so crazy being here alone at night with Loney working swings.  At least I have everyone next door so I'm not TOTALLY alone.  He did receive some word though from his senior that he was goign to put in a good word for Loney to try to get him off probation.  That would be sooo totally awesome!!  Then we wouldn't have to worry about him not coming to Disneyland!!!  We'll see what happens though.

Well, here's the two layouts I promised.

New Kit

Pineapple Plantation Designs has a new kit out called Spiro-Grafitti.  Wow, is all I can say.  The colors are FAB and I love the design with all the swirls and such.  Perfect for really everyday layouts.  And she also has a add-freebie on her Blog, so check it out.

Here's the Layout I created using the kit.

Also right now at Scrap Orchard, Shauna and Kami (Ziggle Designs) are offering this kit free with a $10 purchase.  Super cool kit that I'm looking forward to creating with.

Messy Face Princess

When Melody was a baby, she was always spitting up.  I don't think she grew out of it until she was 15 months old or so.  When I saw this kit I knew it would be perfect for this photo.  It's soo girly.

Happy Labor Day

So it's almost one as I'm writing this, so it's officially Labor Day here in the US.  Not much is gonna happen with us tomorrow, just gonna veg around..though Loney does have plans to work on a couple things around the house.  I'd love to be able to scrap all day...but alas, I won't be able to.  Oh well.  I did manage to get a layout done for Paula Phillips Designs CT.  This kit was just soo perfect to use for these old photos of my grandma's.

Kit: Harlequin by Paula Phillips (Get Digi With It), Lace & Label- Faith Based: Peace by Tina Williams Designs (Faith Sisters), Stitching: A Pack of Stitching by Willro & Co (Faith Sisters), Photo Turns: Necessities by Atomic Cupcake (no longer available), Font: Vintage Typewriter

I also wanted to note that I'm on the Digital Creative Team at Faith Sisters for another 3 months.  Such a wonderful community of ladies can be found there.  I have made so many wonderful friends.  Check it out if you haven't already.
